Now, do the same thing on the other side. Now, because these nuts are on studs, the studs should still hold the bumper into place, but use caution when removing them. Once you break it loose, you should be able to just rotate the nut by hand and pull that off. There are 21-millimeter nuts on this stud here and one on the other side of the frame here and the same thing on the other side. Now, there's four bolts and nuts holding on the bumper to the frame, two on each side. So, we're gonna reach our hand in right under the headlights, twist the entire bulb right out of the housing on both sides to disconnect it. The first step of the uninstall here is to disconnect your fog light bulbs from the housing, that way when you pull the front bumper off, you're not pulling the harness with it.

Tools used in this install include an impact gun, extension, ratchet, eight-millimeter deep socket, 10-millimeter deep socket, 18-millimeter deep socket, and an 18-millimeter wrench. I'll walk you through this entire process starting with the process of getting your old bumper out of the way. All the hardware is included in the kit, there is no lighting included in the kit, but again, with all those mounting opportunities, picking something up separately and bolting it down is not a problem. My solution to that is if you are working by yourself, have a couple of jack stands to support that weight properly. It is pretty heavy and it's hard to get in place by yourself while also working the wrench to bolt it down. Very simple hand tools and I would absolutely recommend having a friend help you out. The whole installation process for this takes about two hours, maybe a little bit more given your experience. But if you're looking for that protection, you want a little bit of extra protection for that upper low-end grille portion while also getting a lot of mounting opportunities for lighting, this is a good way to go.Now, before we move into the installation guys, I wanted to let you know that it is gonna get one out of three wrenches on our difficult to meter. This, again, comes in right around 600 bucks making it one of the more affordable front-end bumpers for this generation F-150, excluding the Raptor, of course, because that is a different beast. So, all around scratch-resistant, impact-resistant, definitely good for tackling on and off-road obstacles and overall appearance benefits because it makes the front-end of your F-150 look so much better. All of this is then coated in a two-stage epoxy powder coating process that gives you that textured black finish, but that first step of that stage gives you the corrosion and rust-resistance. This is again a really good option for recovery, lighting opportunity for on and off-road use and, of course, just giving you that badass front-end off-road appearance. In addition to the light bar mounting opportunities on that bull bar up here, you have bracket's welded to that so you just bolt one up, you're also given these two round cutouts on each side to accommodate spot or fog lights. So, all you'd have to do is pick that up, bolt it down to that plate before you throw your bumper in place and you're good to go.In addition to that recovery option, you're also given two 7/8s D-ring shackles that are already installed for you on the bumper right out of the package, those are also great for recovery. It's got that cutout right in the middle to accommodate up to 12,500-pound capable winches, so you can pick that up separately, again, not included in the kit, but that bracket is included.
It also comes with a separate winch plate that you'll be using to attach the bumper to the frame and also a winch if you decided to add that in the future. Now, the entire thing is made of a fully welded 3/16s-inch cold rolled steel with quarter-inch brackets in some places such as those mounting points on the backend.
